With a hearty helping of yeast and sugar, these rolls rise fast. 10 minutes fast. No one will ever guess that you spent only minutes, not hours, preparing these rolls.

Tender and light, these fast yeast dinner rolls are perfect for sopping up gravy or becoming leftover turkey and cranberry sauce sliders. Fast Yeast Dinner Rolls

No need to wait hours for these Fast Yeast Dinner Rolls! 10 minutes to rise, 15 in the oven. Tender and light, a must-have for any dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plus 2tbsp warm water
  • 1/3 cup oil I used olive oil
  • 2 tbsp yeast
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Combine water, oil, yeast and sugar. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
  • Mix in salt, egg and 2 cups of the flour. Stir well to combine.
  • Add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  • Mix until the dough is well combined. You may also turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface to knead lightly.
  • Once dough is combined well, divide the dough into 24 equal pieces. Shape into balls, keeping dough covered with plastic wrap or a towel.
  • Place shaped dough on greased baking sheets or 2, 9×13 baking dishes.
  • Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.
  • Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with a stick of salted butter. Place rolls on a wire rack to cool. Serve warm. Enjoy!
