Combine water, oil, yeast and sugar. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
Mix in salt, egg and 2 cups of the flour. Stir well to combine.
Add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition.
Mix until the dough is well combined. You may also turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface to knead lightly.
Once dough is combined well, divide the dough into 24 equal pieces. Shape into balls, keeping dough covered with plastic wrap or a towel.
Place shaped dough on greased baking sheets or 2, 9x13 baking dishes.
Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 400F.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.
Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with a stick of salted butter. Place rolls on a wire rack to cool. Serve warm. Enjoy!
